Glenn "Rob" ClemensIt is with much sadness that the
death of Glenn R. Clemens, II, age 53, is announced. Rob, as he was known to all, was born
on December 9, 1953 and passed away on February 10, 2007. Rob stayed connected with his
friends over great spans of time, many dating back to his days in college and from the
days of his bowling team. Through his sometimes misguided, but always
"great-for-stories" adventures with his best friend and all the people he met
daily working at the various bars around town. It was obvious that Rob made friends and he
kept them.
He had a special quality that drew people to him, that made them comfortable and left
them feeling better for having known him. That was Rob's greatest gift to us all. For
those of us remaining, we will miss him terribly. A graveside service will be held
Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Newcomer's Longview Cemetery, 12700 Raytown Rd.,
Kansas City, MO 64149. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages all his friends and
family to consider organ and tissue donation.
"Everytime we would meet Rob, we would ask each other if we finished the
newspaper's crossword puzzle, and if the answer was no, we would sit down together and
finally figure out the answers together." - Todd & Tanya. All of us at Davey's
Uptown will miss Rob but he will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever.
